Varela Alumni Association

A community-driven website designed for the Felix Varela Senior High School Alumni Association, connecting graduates across 25+ years of history. The goal was to create a digital hub that fosters lasting connections, celebrates shared memories, and channels alumni support toward current students and staff. This site needed to balance nostalgia with purpose—honoring the past while building a sustainable future for the Viper legacy through scholarships, events, and volunteer opportunities.

The design philosophy centered on accessibility and pride. Built on WordPress with Elementor, the site creates clear pathways for alumni to reconnect through the class directory, give back through donations, and stay engaged through events and volunteer opportunities. Clean, professional design paired with school colors and imagery creates an atmosphere of institutional pride without feeling dated or overly sentimental. Every section was strategically designed to lower barriers to participation—whether that's updating contact information, attending a reunion, or contributing to student scholarships. This is alumni web design that understands community building isn't about perfection, it's about showing up and staying connected across generations.
